Collage, archive selection
We were invited by Text and the City to contribute to the book Batyr Live: A Message to the Young - a limited-edition publication assembling the words and reflections of Batyrkhan Shukenov into a singular monologue on music, creativity, and inner conviction.
Our role focused on creating a series of original collage works and curating archival photographs that visually accompany and enrich the narrative. The book was released in 500 copies, in Kazakh and Russian, with select sections printed in Braille to ensure accessibility for visually impaired readers.
This thoughtful editorial gesture portrayed Batyr as more than a legacy figure - as a present, emotionally resonant voice for a new generation.
